Skilla – a year of surprises
Skilla expect a new season of surprises and adventures. For them 2009 was a year of travelling, peace and love. And some nice reviews.

– Our 2009 was all about travelling around, playing for the crowds and generally doing things that we think is nice. After touring Denmark and Norway, we headed back to Malmö for a long awaited hometown reception with a concert and a big party.

The single Summer in December was released and the accompanying video was filmed in beautiful Österlen, in the south of Sweden. We toured with the Swedish hit maker Miss Li in Germany, played at Swedens biggest festival Peace And Love, as well as Mosebacke, the pride of Stockholms cultural life whilst still leaving time for the lovely little festival on the Finnish Island of Åland.  We released our debut album with the Swedish label National in October, receiving plenty of  “4 out of 5"s. We are really fired up for the next album, which we have spent the rest of the autumn working on.

What are your plans for 2010?

– This spring Skilla is releasing a brand new album! In addition to exhilarating music videos, Skillas music will also appear in a short film. We will be heading back to Norway at least once and we´ve promised a return trip to Germany. We´re laying bait for US labels and flirting with a booker in Spain. Nina moves back to Malmö in june after 4 years in exile. Vive Le France, peace on earth, may joy be in us all etc.
The summer calender for 2010 is quickly filling up with festivals throughout Europe! We expect a season of surprises and adventures.
